Long Empty Road

"My brother was paired with a PTSD service dog and for the first time in decades - I have my brother back, his kids have their dad back - and the world has this smart and compassionate nerd back." - Erin

THE RUN

HOLD FAST IN HARD TIMES // ANCHOR EACHOTHER

HOLD FAST RUN FOR PTSD AWARENESS was created as a collaborative way for a group of friends to come together and raise money for PTSD programming in association with WOUNDED WARRIORS.

Running from Base Petawawa to the War Memorial in Ottawa in a day is a 174km journey that will require each of us to dig deep and lean on the team. It will be hard. But we will have each other.

And that's kinda the point.

In our various careers in the military, emergency services, and healthcare we have seen the burden folks with PTSD and OSIs carry everyday.

It's no joke. It's not a weakness. It's legit. It's hard. It's scary.

It's still stigmatized.

This run is about normalizing the dialogue about PTSD and OSIs, getting money to vital support programs, and most importantly - reminding everyone that

YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

The Run: Welcome
